Terms of Service

Last updated: 4 September 2026

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of the ORBIIT website at orbiit.co.uk and any services provided by ORBIIT ("we", "us", "our"). By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to these terms.

2. Services

ORBIIT provides web design, social media marketing, SEO, and related digital services. Specific deliverables, timelines, and fees for any engagement are agreed in writing before work commences. Nothing on this website constitutes a binding offer of services.

3. Website plans

Our website plans are ongoing monthly services. We design, build, host and maintain your website for a single monthly fee, as described in your written quotation and confirmed in writing before work begins.

Each plan runs for an initial minimum term of twelve months, starting from the date of your first payment. After the initial term the plan simply continues on a monthly basis — there is no new contract to sign and no automatic re-commitment to a further fixed term.

Your monthly fee will not increase during the initial term or at the point it becomes monthly. If we change the price after that, we will give you at least 30 days' written notice, and you may cancel before the change takes effect.

4. Fees and payment

There is no setup fee. Nothing is payable until you have seen and approved the design for your website. If you do not approve the design, you may walk away at that point and nothing is owed.

Once you approve the design, your first monthly payment becomes due and the twelve-month initial term begins. Payments are collected monthly in advance, normally by Direct Debit or recurring card payment.

ORBIIT LTD is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added to our fees. The prices shown are the prices you pay.

If a payment fails we will contact you to arrange payment. If an account remains unpaid for 30 days we may suspend the website and any related services until the account is brought up to date. We will always warn you before suspending anything.

Where you buy advertising through us, advertising spend is paid by you directly to the advertising platform and is separate from our fees.

5. What is included, and what is not

Each plan includes a stated amount of change work each month — for example text edits, replacing photographs, updating prices or opening hours, or adding a service. Where your plan provides for it, unused change time may be carried over, up to a maximum of three months' allowance.

Larger structural work is not included. This means things such as adding an online shop, a new booking or payment system, a significant increase in the number of pages, or rebuilding the site around a new brand. We will always tell you in advance if something falls outside your plan, and quote it separately. No additional work is ever carried out, or charged for, without your agreement in writing.

We do not provide photography, logo design, or full copywriting from scratch as part of a plan unless expressly agreed in writing.

6. Hosting, domain and your data

Hosting is included in every website plan for as long as the plan is active. You do not need to buy hosting separately.

Your domain name remains your own responsibility and your own property. We can help you register or connect it, but we do not own it and we will never transfer it away from you.

Your content, your photographs, your business information and any customer data collected through the website are yours at all times. On request we will provide a copy of your website content and any enquiry data we hold for you.

7. Ending a website plan

You may end your plan at any time after the initial twelve-month term by giving us 30 days' written notice. There is nothing further to pay beyond the notice period.

If you wish to end the plan during the initial twelve-month term, you may either pay the remaining monthly fees for that term at 50 per cent of their value, or purchase the website outright at our then-current buy-out price. This reflects the genuine cost to us of designing and building a website in advance of recovering that cost through the monthly fee. It is not a penalty.

We may end a plan by giving you 30 days' written notice, or immediately if fees remain unpaid after we have warned you, or if the website is being used unlawfully.

When a plan ends, hosting ends with it and the website will be taken offline. Your domain, content and data remain yours, and we will provide a copy of your content on request. We will not hold your domain or your data.

8. Owning your website

Under a monthly plan, the website we build for you is licensed to you for use for as long as your plan is active. It is not sold to you outright, which is what allows us to build it without an upfront fee and keep rebuilding it at no extra cost.

If you would prefer to own your website outright, we offer that as a separate one-off project instead, priced individually. In that case ownership of the finished website transfers to you on full payment, and any hosting or ongoing care is charged separately.

You may also buy out a website built under a monthly plan at any time. Please contact us for the current buy-out price.

9. Intellectual property

All content on this website — including text, design, code, and graphics — is the property of ORBIIT and protected by UK copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any content without our written permission. Ownership of the work we produce for you is dealt with in section 8. In short: under a monthly plan the website is licensed to you while the plan is active, and under a one-off project ownership transfers to you on full payment.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ORBIIT shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of this website or our services. Our total liability in connection with any project shall not exceed the fees paid by the client for that project.

11. Website use

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, disrupt its operation, or use it to transmit harmful or offensive content.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
